A quick update on the Fascial Manipulation® & menstrual pain study
I’d like to share a short update on how the pilot study on primary dysmenorrhea is progressing.
Where we are now
The study is officially underway. So far:
4 out of 5 participants have been recruited (the 5th one is pending a gynecological appointment)
Initial assessments have been completed
Treatment sessions are in progress. We have finished the initial weekly appointments with 3 first participants, next week the 4th one will have her 1st visit)
Each participant is receiving six sessions spread over several months, and we are tracking changes in pain and related symptoms throughout the process.
How things are going
At this stage, it’s too early to talk about results — and with a small pilot study, conclusions will come later after full analysis. What I can share is that:
The study is running smoothly
Participants are very engaged and motivated
No significant adverse effects have been reported
Any post-treatment soreness has been mild and short-lasting
What’s next
Over the coming months:
Remaining sessions will be completed
Final questionnaires will be collected
All data will be analysed
Once that’s done, we’ll have a clearer picture of whether Fascial Manipulation® shows potential as a supportive approach for menstrual pain. I’ll continue to share updates here as we move forward. It’s exciting to take this first step toward better understanding non-invasive options for women living with period pain.
